Better Energy in workplaces grant (SEAI)

2011 A consortium of 26 schools across 11 VEC’s. This project included retrofitting energy saving measures such as high efficiency boilers, T5 light fittings, daylight controllers, absence detection, heating controls, wall and roof insulation etc.

Refurbishment of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy

2012/2013 This refurbishment is currently ongoing and involves partial refurbishment of 3 bathroom areas and fire upgrade works in a live hospital. All systems were maintained operational during the construction period. The full refurbishment and extension of an additional ward is planned to proceed in 2013 with the same design team.

Refurbishment of Baltinglass Hospital

2012/2013 This refurbishment is currently ongoing and involves partial refurbishment of a live hospital. Particular consideration was given to keeping the heating, emergency lighting and fire alarm system fully functional during construction. The hospital will have 64 bedrooms when complete.

2014 This project was a design & build contract with Solaregy and comprised the installation of a sustainable heating system to an existing courthouse. The chosen system consisted of an air source heatpump and low temperature radiators. The clients are very happy with the system.

2012 This project was a design & build contract with Solaregy and comprised the installation of a sustainable heating system to heat the swimming pool water. The chosen system consisted of 2 air source heatpumps and stainless steel heat exchangers. The clients, Tipperary County Council, are very happy with the system.
